Valencia valencia, - Spanje - De autonome regio Valencia (Comunidad Valenciana) is een van de autonome regio's in het zuiden van - Spanje -. Het is de regio waar de belangrijke havenstad Valencia, tevens hoofstad van de regio, in ligt. De regio heeft een inwoneraantal van ongeveer 4.2 miljoen. De regio bevat 3 provincies te weten: Castellon, Valencia en Alicante. Voluit is de naam van de regio in het Spaans: Comunidad Autónoma de Valencia of autonome gemeenschap van Valencia. Het wordt ook kortweg Comunidad Valenciana genoemd. (Comunitat Autònoma de València en Comunitat Valenciana in het Catalaans). In het Valenciaans, wat naast de officiële talen Spaans en Catalaans voorkomt, wordt naam van deze regio geschreven als Valencià. In het noordoosten grenst de regio aan de autonome regio Catalonië, in het noordwesten die van Aragon, in het westen aan die van Castilla la Mancha en in het zuiden aan die van Murcia. In het gebied van deze regio kunt u een denkbeeldige driehoekslijn trekken tussen de steden Valencia, Alicante en het kleine haven stadje Javea. Indien u dit doet dan heeft u het gebied te pakken waar het grootste Nederlandse toerisme in - Spanje - zich afspeelt. In deze denkbeeldige driehoek bevindt zich het populaire Benidorm. De regio heeft een zeer lange kustlijn aan de Middellandse Zee. Door de invloed van de zee is het klimaat ook milder dan dat van regio's als Madrid die in het binnenland liggen. Dankzij de lange stranden en veel zon wordt de regio jaarlijks door veel toeristen bezocht. U kunt de regio per vliegtuig eenvoudig bereiken door te vliegen op het vliegveld van Valencia of dat van Alicante. ValenciaA short train journey from

region during this fabulous fiesta.

match at the 55,000 seater Mestalla stadium? Valencia are one
of the top teams in- Spanje - and the stadium often sells out
especially in matches against top opposition such as Real Madrid and
Barcelona. 2009 Valencia Events . 33rd America's Cup Valencia to host 2009 America's Cup pre-regattas The 33rd America's Cup event authority, AC Management, today signed a Host Venue agreement with the Valencian Municipality and Regional Government for the Spanish city of Valencia to hold two America's Cup pre-regattas, the first from the 10-19 July and the second in October.
